What our guests say about our cooking class:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Italian Experience That Goes Beyond the Plate

The moment we arrived at Casa Dorotea, a sense of magic hung in the air. Morning light poured over weathered stone and vibrant greenery, setting the scene for a journey into the soul of Italy.

Guided by a passionate and welcoming chef Franco, we embarked on more than a cooking class—it was a deep dive into centuries of culinary heritage. The ritual began with bold, Neapolitan coffee, awakening our senses for what was to come: the tactile joy of kneading pasta by hand, the rich simplicity of Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, each step steeped in tradition.

What set the experience apart was the storytelling. Our chef didn’t just teach recipes—he shared memories. Each dish was layered with tales of grandmothers, festivals, and seaside kitchens, turning ingredients into stories and meals into memories. As flour dusted our aprons and laughter filled the room, strangers quickly became friends, united by the warmth of shared experience.

We ended our culinary journey the the citrus garden nearby. With a glass of local wine in hand and a splash of limoncello to finish, we feasted as the horizon burned gold. The flavors of the food mingled with the scent of the sea and the sound of joyful conversation.

This wasn’t just a lesson in cooking—it was an immersion into the Italian way of life. Intimate, unforgettable, and profoundly human. Though the spots are few, the memories created linger long after the last bite.

Grazie mille to the incredible team who made us feel not like guests, but like family.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Culinary Journey to Remember

Our Che Franco led us through the rituals of handmade pasta and the beloved Gnocchi alla Sorrentina and Lemon Spaghetti. But this wasn’t just about following recipes. It was about learning the why behind each step, each flavor, each family tradition.

As we chopped, stirred, and tasted, bonds formed over shared laughter and flour-dusted aprons. The small group size made it feel personal, like being welcomed into a Nonna’s kitchen. Before we knew it, we were cheering each other on like old friends, united by a newfound respect for Italian culinary craft.

The ingredients? Impeccably fresh. The pacing? Perfectly balanced between hands-on action and storytelling. And the food? Let’s just say the Eggplant Parmesan and cloud-like Tiramisu could have easily graced the menu of any trattoria in Sorrento and Amalfi Coast.

Then came the showstopper: a feast at his villa's garden, just a stone thrown away from Casa Dorotea, where we ate our creations in the beautiful citrus garden. With a glass of local wine in one hand and a slice of heaven on our plate, it was a moment of pure joy—equal parts flavor, view, and heartfelt satisfaction.

Whether you're a foodie, a traveler, or someone simply craving an unforgettable experience, this culinary adventure hits every note. It’s not just about learning to cook. It’s about feeling the spirit of Italy, one bite at a time.
