Wow was the exclamation when we arrived at the villa the stunning view over the bay to Vesuvius the swimming pool and the grounds. It was kept clean and tidy and the house keeper and gardener did an amazing job through out our stay. The communication with Carmine was first class. The villa was well equipped and if I have one down side it was the coffee machine, I would have expected a fantastic one as we were in Italy. We had a day trip to Capri again well organised apart from the really scary taxi driver to the harbour but that's Italy. The grocery store was only a short drive away and they had everything we needed. We used the BBQ on several occasions, and the beer on tap was an added bonus. Although we went in the busiest weeks we managed to park in Sorrento without much bother and the charges reasonable. We did go to the local market on the Tuesday but wished we had not bothered better to explore the town and surrounding area especially Ravello if you can stand the drive along the Amalfi coast we went early in the morning. A visit to Vesuvius is well worth the climb. We also went to Pompeii which was a lot bigger than I expected and a bit too much for my grandchildren aged 8 and 10 as it was very hot and there is not a lot of shade. Overall we cannot fault Naples villas for the communication and it was everything and more as describe. I would however say you do need to be fairly fit as there are a lot of steps in the villa . Our party of 12 age ranged from 8-70 and we all managed ok. We had two cars and a small 9 seater minibus which we hired from Naples airport which was not a pleasant experience very little signage and you have to catch a shuttle bus for the 5 min drive if we had known how short a distance it was we would have walked instead of waiting over 30 mins for the bus. Overall we had a great holiday and would certainly use Naples Villas again. (get a decent coffee machine)
We had a very nice week in the villa Lirica, plenty of space inside this was good as the weather was very wet on a couple of days, so my grandson had plenty of room to toddle around. The views of the bay of Naples where the best you could get. Villa very clean and well kept. Stayed with all the family plenty of room and the outside area would be really nice in the summer, sun and nice shade. Only down side we didn’t have a car and trying to get the bus was a bit difficult at first, as you need to get the tickets before you get on and we couldn’t find the stop, but okay after that.
Villa Lirica is a nice place to stay for bigger family/company and who do not require daily trips to the sea, as it is really far from the beaches. The best thing about villa is a breathtaking view of Sorrento bay and Vesuvius. Big terrace is great - we spent there all our time together. Davide and Teresa [the caretakers] were always at our call, and very helpful.
The property was very nice and conveniently located, for the most part. The terrace and outdoor views were lovely. It was very nice to work with you. I particularly appreciated all the helpful information you sent prior to our arrival. Everybody at Naples Villas very helpful especially Carmine, how meet us on arrival and took my wife and I to get the basics as the next day was a Sunday, in his own car, and cooked us a very nice meal at the villa later in the week. A very nice treat.
A beautiful villa with everything you need. The view is outstanding and the maid service excellent. You are a fantastic support: prompt replies to e-mails and nothing was a problem. The best company I have ever used and when I return to Italy you will be the first I will look at. Thank you
We had a marvellous week with 10 of our family aged 8 to 48. The property fully lived up to the description and its location could hardly be bettered, with a cooling breeze to relieve the warmth . The children spent hours in the pool, playing football and table tennis,In the evening there was a good DVD player and other equipment. We were very well looked after by the good-humoured Davide, who was the contact to the absent owner. He recommended a good nearby restaurant (Don Pedro) and a full day boat hire which everyone enjoyed.Therese kept the place clean and cooked a meal when we arrived. I would certainly recommend Villa Lirica to anyone. The villa fulfilled all our expectations and gave us a very happy week we will always remember . Recommended for Families with Young Children.
To celebrate my 40th birthday and our 5th wedding anniversary, my wife and I traveled to Italy with friends in July 2012. After a week in Tuscany, we travelled to Sorrento to stay at Villa Lirica. It was, without a doubt, an amazing experience. The villa itself is beautiful and has plenty of room for 10. Photos do not do it justice (Alfonso, if you want me to come back and take photos of Villa Lirica, just say the word!). The terraces alone are worth the stay - the view of the Bay of Naples is beautiful, with Vesuvius looming on the horizon. You are actually looking down on Sorrento and when there are fireworks in the town, you are treated to a show below you. We spent many mornings and evenings on those terraces, sipping coffee or wine, playing cards and just enjoying life. Carmine was incredibly helpful. Anything you wanted to do, he could arrange (it seemed as though he was was friends with everyone). He came and cooked a wonderful meal for us, arranged for two amazing private boats to Capri, and transportation to Vesuvius and Pompeii. While you can arrange all of that on your own, Carmine took all of that off my shoulders and I was able to relax and just enjoy the experience. We can't wait to go back.
We had the most wonderful week at Villa Lirica. We were picked up at Sorrento and taken to the villa. As the next day was Sunday, Carmine took us to the local shops so we could buy supplies, as we did not have a car. Carmine was also very helpful with organising our trip by private boat to Capri, well worth doing! We had breathtaking views of Sorrento bay and Vesuvius from large terrace were we spent long days admiring the view, swimming, eating , drinking. Good location to visit Pompeii and Vesuvius and the Amalfi coast. We took the bus from outside the villa, which stopped off at Positano, Amalfi and then a short ride to Ravello. Fabulous day! Villa kept clean by friendly staff everyday. The brand new infinity pool and hot tub great bonus. Would still highly recommend villa for great location, 15 mins by bus to Sorrento. Would recommend car for convenience, but not necessary if you are happy to pick up supplies by bus.
